Build threat.
Choose commitment.
Return alive.

Separate Q-stack construction, attack weaving, E setup, ultimate follow-through, and combat movement from the outcomes they happen to produce.

WHAT TO WATCH

Fast stacks and good tornado use are not the same skill.

Build time, release delay, and E-assisted commitment are scored separately so patience is not penalized.

mortal steel

Q-stack completion rate

What it measures
Completed Q1→Q2→Q3 sequences divided by observed Q-cycle starts. It measures whether Mortal Steel stacking becomes a knock-up opportunity before the stack expires.
Why it matters
More verified conversions usually mean more of the mechanic’s available value is being realized. Review the evidence before assuming every opportunity should be forced.

Observed medians run from 46% in master to 48% in grandmaster.

Curves show observed player distributions. Anything the AI could not see in the replay is unavailable, never scored as zero.

How Yone mechanics are measured

Ten deterministic scores calculate. E mark damage, return safety, W shielding, and R target value remain unavailable.

MECHANICS LIBRARY

The Unforgotten, made measurable.

01Observed

Q-stack completion

Measures how often a started Q sequence reaches Q3 before the chain expires.

Measured as
Completed Q3 stacks divided by eligible Q1 starts.
Training drill
Review abandoned stacks and label access, reset, or planning failure.
02Observed

Attack→Q cadence

Captures the input transition between an attack and the next Q.

Measured as
Median elapsed seconds for eligible attack-to-Q pairs.
Training drill
Practice alternating attacks and Q on a stationary target, then in a wave.
03Contextual

E commitment

E→Q3 and E→R describe chosen sequences, not whether the engage was correct.

Measured as
Eligible E casts followed by Q3 or R inside fixed windows.
Training drill
Before E, name the target, return point, and exit trigger.
04Coverage gated

Return safety

Whether the snapback was safe requires damage and state around the return point.

Measured as
Unavailable until the AI can see E lifecycle, health, damage, and position together in the replay.
Training drill
Review each return manually until the state metric unlocks.

GAME PLAN

Use the mechanic for the right play.

Threat building

A held Q3 can create space without being cast immediately; read build time and release delay together.

E planning

The return point is part of the engage. A fast combo with a losing return is not clean execution.

Ultimate restraint

Q3→R frequency is contextual. The pack reports opportunity use without assuming every knock-up deserves R.

HOW WE KNOW

See exactly what is measured.

We show patterns only after enough real players support them. Early results stay labeled, and missing information stays unavailable.

Every result defines what counts, when it applies, and which actions are excluded.

4 things we cannot score yet

E mark damage, E return safety, W shield value, R target value stay unavailable until the replay shows them reliably.
